What We Believe

This blog is about our life as a homeschooling family and because Jesus takes centre stage in our individual lives and in our family, I wanted to make a clear statement about what we believe spiritually.

I often get swamped with the day to day chores of life but is my faith in God that keeps me going.  I am not tied to a religion, but I cherish the relationship I have with Jesus Christ.  It is my prayer that this blog will become a vehicle to encourage and inspire others to look heavenward.

We believe that there is one God, who is all knowing, all powerful and always present; perfect in holiness and love, existing eternally in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Who are One in substance, power and eternal.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God; God-Man in the flesh, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection from the dead, ascension back to the Father, present glory, imminent return and coming kingdom.

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, divinely inspired, accurate and infallible, our sole and sufficient authority in all matters of faith and practice as the complete and true Word of God.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Divine person, Who dwells in every believer.

We believe that salvation from sin is by the grace of God through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, apart from any works or merit of the recipient for all persons who believe in Him. This salvation provides a right standing before God, deliverance from hell and the lake of fire and assurance of heaven. This salvation is eternal and the offer is available for all persons, but only while a person is living on earth and discontinues upon death.

We believe that every person who places their faith in Jesus Christ as the only way to peace with God the Father, accepting Him as the Messiah who died for their sin and rose again, is a member of the universal church, which is His body.

We believe in the resurrection from the dead to eternal life with Christ for Christians and judgment to a literal hell and lake of fire before the just and righteous God for those that do not accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior by faith.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will return personally to take from the world His own and subsequently to judge the world and reign eternally.
